Abstract

PT. Duta Mitra Lestari, a company engaged in the procurement of goods and services, has been experiencing difficulties in processing data on incoming and outgoing goods. The company conducts daily inventory checks by verifying stock levels in the warehouse. Records of incoming and outgoing goods are still kept manually in ledgers, which are then archived and transferred to Microsoft Excel to update the inventory. The process of compiling reports on incoming and outgoing goods from the ledgers and transferring them to Microsoft Excel to be organized into a company report can take a considerable amount of time, after which the reports are submitted to management or employees who need them. The current filing system can be considered suboptimal, as it often does not match the actual incoming and outgoing goods. Therefore, there is a need to design a web-based inventory management system using the waterfall method at PT. Duta Mitra Lestari. The implementation of an inventory information system at PT. Duta Mitra Lestari will streamline the process of recording and processing incoming and outgoing inventory, making it faster and more accurate. Additionally, this system will ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is properly archived, thereby simplifying data processing.
